Mi4c leak reveals Xiaomi’s first USB-C smartphone
Additionally, Weibo user JetaimeTech, (via GizmoChina) has posted an image of the Xiaomi Michigan 4c retail box that reveals a few more features of the upcoming smartphone. Pricing specifications haven’t been announced yet, but it will be very interesting to see how much Xiaomi ends up asking for it. It should be very affordable, though.
If you missed our earlier scoop on the Mi4c, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you that the device is expected to make a debut with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution support. Knowing that the IFA 2015 is right around the corner, it’s possible that Xiaomi will release the device during the event later this week. As for the price, although there isn’t any confirmation, the device is said to cost around CNY 1,299 (~$200). It will include an internal storage of 16GB, however no information has been provided regarding an expandable microSD card. It comes with a USB Type-C connector and reportedly runs the company’s latest MIUI 7 mobile OS.
The Xiaomi Michigan 4c might be the company’s first smartphone featuring USB Type-C, possibly version 3.0, according to the leaked retail box image.
Previously leaked AnTuTu benchmark results tipped that the alleged Michigan 4c will come with 1.4GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and will feature 3G, GPRS/ EDGE and 4G LTE connectivity options. Which means it will have dimensions of 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8mm and weigh 130g.
