Since Nintendo wants to “cherish” the value of software, there’s a limit to how low a price it wants to attach to its upcoming mobile games.

Nintendo made a promise before E3 that it wouldn’t release any information about the NX until 2016. The report also said that it is unlikely that a company will release the new gaming device just six months after it was announced since the normal debut of any console usually offers a preview of the product before the holiday season prior to the actual release date.

Miyamoto went on to express a bit of criticism of the competition.

The gaming-oriented giant seriously needs to come up with something new and revolutionary in order to just challenge Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One, let alone surpass them. If their games end up being too aggressive with their monetization, Nintendo can expect very little success aside from the “whales” throwing money at them.

The big question though is what games would be ready on launch? Nintendo will make the games while DeNA will be doing the publishing.

“There was a lot of excitement from the visitors and the contenders [for this event]”, said Iwata.
