Destiny down: Why has Bungie taken Xbox and PlayStation title offline?
Bungie is not saying what changes it plans to deliver to Destiny during the maintenance period, and gamers are now speculating whether an actual patch will be deployed for the title or not. To fully prepare for the upcoming expansion and ensure that the players do not face any sort of trouble during “The Taken King” launch, Bungie has decided to take the servers down for maintenance today.
The total hours if calculated add up to six hours of maintenance for the game. That means you should see Destiny servers become available again around 10PM United Kingdom time (2PM PDT/5PM EDT). Use of the Bungie website and the Destiny Companion app usability may also be restricted during this time while the developer tinkers under the hood.
We have an important heads-up for all Destiny players now. Destiny’s online multi-player mode has received several positive compliments and with this maintenance, hopefully, the online experience will be even more enhanced.
Bungie’s live-stream for Destiny: The Taken King revealed several new details for the game including the release date for the King’s Fall raid being September 18th, 10 AM PST. The Ultimate Destiny Experience is said to be a PS4 exclusive and is now available for pre-order through Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop.
Destiny: The Taken King is out on September 15th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
