Man Accidentally Sends Nude Photos To HR Director, Loses Job Offer
A 23-year-old Aurora man found out the hard way when he sent naked selfies to the HR manager of his potential employer, the Tribune reported.
If you think you’ve ever made a mistake during an interview, prepare to be humbled and reassured. Ruth said the company learned the identity of the sender when he later used the same phone number for a follow-up call.
The unfortunate nude selfie incident reportedly occurred between August 11 and 13 when the HR Manager was at home, according to police.
The manager first contacted St. Charles police, but was referred to Elmhurst because that is where she received the texts.
Needless to say, his contract offer was rescinded, and the police were called, although the company has chosen not to pursue any legal action.
“(Police) ed the offender who admitted to sending the images, explaining they have been truly meant for an additional particular person and have been despatched to the sufferer in error”, the police report states. “He texted the HR director and sent a unclad photo of himself”.
Sadly for him, he got the wrong number and ended up sending the message to the HR manager at the firm which had only just offered him employment. “(Police) suggested the offender to stop any with the sufferer”.
“We’re seeing it much more often now with our young people sending inappropriate photos of themselves”, Ruth says of a noted increase in sexting-related complaints.
He was let off and the company did not wish to press charges.
