Cooler weather is forecast for the rest of the work week as a low pressure system exerts its influence over the Sacramento region.
It will get a little hotter for Sunday and Monday with highs in the lower to middle 90s under partly sunny skies. Light and variable wind becoming west northwest 5 to 10 miles per hour in the morning. Partly sunny, with a high near 91.
The showers will last off and on into the afternoon and evening and their might even be a few rumbles of thunder later today.
Tuesday’s low in Madison was 56 at 11:46 p.m., 5 degrees below the normal low and 11 degrees above the record low of 45 for July 7, set in 1997. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Thursday Night A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
The next two days will feature scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected today which will help keep temperatures down in the mid to upper 80s.
