Asus has revealed its plan to get Windows 10 into as many homes and offices as possible with the launch of a low-priced “PC on a stick”. Besides, there is a microUSB port for powering the HDMI stick. However, the existing USB connections can accommodate a wireless mouse and keyboard as well as an external drive, if additional storage space is needed.

ASUS has placed an MSRP of $129 on the VivoStick, with no word on availability just yet.

Asus is diving head-first into the PC-on-a-stick market with a new product it’s calling the VivoStick. Ideal for movies, parties, console-type games or quizzes, the mobile gadget enables you to turn your living room into an entertainment area instantly. The Asus VivoStick is pretty much what you’d expect from the form-factor: a pocket-size HDMI stick that plugs into a TV or monitor, turning it into a Windows 10 PC.

Earlier this year, Intel released the Compute Stick, the USB-sized PC that ran on Windows 8. One of these ports is USB 2.0, while the other is USB 3.0. It’s unbelievable how Asus managed to put all of this into VivoStick’s design. It weighs 70 grams (0.15 pounds) and measures 138 x 34 x 15mm, but then you could probably guess the VivoStick would be tiny.
