Taylor Swift donates to sick fan
The adorable brunette chose Swift’s “Bad Blood” as her fight song and is preparing to face the cancer head-on.
The family of Naomi Oakes, from Arizona, set up a crowdfunding website after discovering her diagosis of acute myelogenous leukaemia at the end of June. As she’ll be hospitalised for the next six to nine months, Naomi will be missing Taylor’s concert in Phoenix in August.
This prompted the family to try and get in touch with Taylor to ask if the singer could help out and perhaps share a #TeamNaomi post on Instagram.
In a series of four separate donations, Taylor gave a total of $50,000 and left a sweet message on the GoFundMe page as well.
“We are obviously scared and concerned for our girl, but she has been a trooper and is positive about getting better”.
However after learning that her recent cancer diagnosis means Naomi will be unable to attend the show, her family made a video telling Naomi’s story and sharing her love for Taylor on Sunday. “I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family”, she wrote.
“Oh my God”, Naomi Oakes uttered as she lay in her hospital bed.
“Taylor is fantastic”, Naomi’s mom shared with ABC15.
The pop star on Tuesday donated $50,000 to Naomi Oakes’ Go Fund Me account as the San Tan Valley 11-year-old battles leukemia.
Some surprise stylistic cameos include 90’s one-hit wonders Eiffel 65, the cast of Grease, Barney & Friends, and Chef from South Park, who are all channelled through Vincent’s chameleon pipes. “We hope she sees our thank you video”.
