‘Deadpool’ is between some guy’s legs in the latest promotional image
For starters, it’s likely to be rated R, as it should be.
In the comic series, Deadpool is the alter-ego that ex-marine Wade Wilson will acquire as a result of an experiment called Weapon X program that would leave him disfigured and at the edge of his sanity. EW unveiled one new Deadpool image while Empire got the other, which included the first look at Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). He also expressed in-character gratitude for whomever leaked the test footage and spurred the excitement that lead to the movie getting a thumbs-up.
“Deadpool is a hard R“, confirmed producer Simon Kinberg. Sure, the budget isn’t huge, but the studio is taking a decent risk by green-lighting a hard-R movie that is technically set within the PG-13 X-Men continuity. But just in case there isn’t a panel, Fox has released a brand new image revealing the title character giving some drivers major headaches, by causing a little traffic. With his new abilities and a dark sense of humor, Deadpool is on a mission of vengeance against those that destroyed his life. But based on what we now know about the impending film, we’re very glad it is. “It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo”.
According to first-time director Tim Miller, who worked on David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, he sees Deadpool’s on-screen presence as a corollary to Tyler Durden from Fight Club. “You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary pushing kind of movie, or you do not”.
Deadpool will also star Morena Baccarin, T.J.
Deadpool will be released on February 12, 2016 in theaters with Reynolds returning to the role that was once thought ruined by X-Men Origins: Wolverine, this time aiming to do justice to the character.
