Airlines boost on-time rating but storms create long delays
In an email to Quartz, United spokesman Charles Hobart said, “We experienced a network connectivity issue this morning”.
United Airlines flights in USA were grounded on Wednesday due to computer system glitch, according to FAANews.
Officials at Denver global Airport advised passengers to allow extra time and to check their flight status as the airline worked to restore the computer issues.
The ground stoppage is for United piloted and operated flights only.
Customers across the country took to Twitter to share their experiences.
It was not immediately clear what caused the issue.
The FAA’s ground stop covered all of United’s mainline flights, with the agency indicating the stop was done at the airline’s request.
