AC Milan make shock comment after signing Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli
Milan finished 10th in Serie A last term but has invested heavily in its squad over the summer as the club looks to return to European football next term.
Has Balotelli finally changed his ways? Or it could turn out just to be positive spin for a new signing.
“He (Balotelli) has had an extraordinary approach, he has changed radically”, he told Sky Italia. ‘He’s the first to arrive [at the training centre] and the last to leave.
“He understood that this is the last big break of his career and I am convinced that he will not squander it”.
And it appears as if those clauses have had a positive effect on the player, with Galliani hailing the “radical” change seen in the former Manchester City man’s attitude during his first week in training.
AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has praised striker Mario Balotelli, who he says has put his bad-boy days well and truly behind him following his summer switch from Liverpool.
Balotelli scored 30 goals in 54 appearances during his first spell at Milan. [Sinisa] Mihajlovic often wants the players to have breakfast at 8.30am, and he’s always there before eight. If he flounders, struggling for minutes and failing to make an impact, then another year on loan with Liverpool stuck paying a sizeable chunk of his wages is likely to be the only possible outcome. Hopefully, for everybody’s sake, things go a little bit better this season.
