UCLA defensive back Ishmael Adams arrested on suspicion of robbery
UCLA issued a brief statement regarding Adams’ situation. His bail is set at $100,000.
UCLA football star Ishmael Adams – considered one of the best cornerbacks in the country – was arrested this weekend after allegedly robbing an Uber driver… right in front of a police station!!
The report says Adams is accused of using force to steal the driver’s cell phone around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Significantly, in addition to reporting the robbery, the driver reported “minor injuries”.

Adams’ status with the team heading into Saturday’s season opener against Virginia is unclear.
Adams was expected to be the Bruins big playmaker as a kick returner and also to see time at corner behind starters Fabian Moreau and Marcus Rios.
Adams became a stalwart of the Bruins defense backfield after he started all 13 games for the Bruins last season and in 2013. He had two interceptions, both of which he returned for touchdowns, in 2014 along with 41 tackles and four pass deflections.
