Wimbledon 2015: Agnieszka Radwanska shocked to be in semi finals
Agnieszka Radwanska continued her love affair with Wimbledon by defeating WTA Rising Star Madison Keys to return to the semifinals for the third time in four years.
Since reaching the semifinals at the Australian Open 18 months ago, Radwanska has struggled to make an impression at the majors and was unable to hide her relief during her post-match interview.
The exuberance of youth proved Keys’ downfall as she wasted a number of presentable chances, with Radwanska’s experience ensuring a last four meeting with Garbine Muguruza.
Radwanska’s crucial break came in the eighth game as she punctured a sensational rally with a sumptuous drop shot that Keys could merely fire into the net. “I just want to get ready for my next match”. “I don’t know”, Radwanska commented.
Taking on one of the game’s most ferocious ball strikers, Radwanska wisely elected against battling it out from the back of the court.
The Pole brought up two break points in the eighth game with a sweet backhand, only for Keys to produce a big first serve and then force her opponent into an error. “She is a great mover, and her hands are unbelievable”, Keys added.

Radwanska’s challenge in the semifinals will be to defuse the powerful game of another bright young talent, Garbiñe Muguruza. If the Belarusian wins, she will play the victor of the match between Serena Williams and Venus Williams in the next round.
“It’s the semifinals so, of course, there’s nothing to lose”.
On 6 June Belarus’ top tennis player Victoria Azarenka (24) will face Swiss player Belinda Bencic (22).
“To be honest, I did not really see myself in the semi-finals here so few weeks after Roland Garros”, Radwanska said as reported in Wimbledon’s Official Website.
