See Leaked Photos of the New iPhone
Apple will most likely launch the iPhone 6S this September, and thanks to leaked images of the metal chassis, we know exactly what it will look like … the iPhone 6.
It’s also thought that the iPhone 6s will feature an upgraded 12 megapixel rear-facing camera – the current iPhone 6 uses an 8 megapixel snapper so image quality shoudl be greatly improved. For example, the mounting points for the phone’s new logic board and components seem to differ. And yes, everything down there looks the same, including the number of speaker holes, position of headphones, microphone and Lightning holes.
According to the site, specs of the iPhone 6S expected in its release date may include the new force touch technology seen on the trackpad of the new Macbook Air. The width and thickness are identical to the iPhone 6 Plus. The lack of any exterior changes may disappoint a few Apple fans who wanted a thinner design or different finish.
The iPhone 6S is set for release in Autumn 2015.
The report adds that the phone’s internal motherboard is narrower than previous models, potentially pointing to a bigger and longer-lasting battery.
The dual-lens system probably is not coming to the iPhone 6S though.
Both of Apple’s new iPhone 6S models will offer download speeds of up to 300 Mbps, the current iPhone models have maximum download speeds of 150 Mbps. The good news is that the power efficiency of the new Apple A9 CPU is supposed to be better, and the the addition of Qualcomm’s higher-end LTE chip should also enhance the device’s battery life. It appears that the forthcoming mobile devices will be incremental upgrades of the latest flagship smartphones, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, retaining their 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch sizes.
