Idris Elba has already seen another coleague become the first black actor to play James Bond, after David Oyelowo snatched the role in the audio book version of author Anthony Horowitz’s latest OO7 adventure, Trigger Mortis. Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny (Harris) and Q (Whishaw) to help him seek out Madeleine Swann (Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Christensen), who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. I won’t say any more on it.

Hugh, 46, said he was approached about taking on the role of the spy 10 years ago before Daniel Craig got the job.

“The Next James Bond market has certainly come alive with all the support coming in for Tom Hardy, who is now 4/1 from 6/1 to take over from Daniel Craig“, said BoyleSports’ spokesman Liam Glynn, reported Variety.

It is reported that Craig will continue to star as Bond in at least one more 007 movie after the upcoming ‘Spectre, ‘ which is set for release in the United Kingdom release on October 26, 2015.
