Joe Biden set to meet union head
While the objective of the session was to ostensibly lobby Democrats for the deal in his official capacity, to many political observers it was a chance for Biden to put his name — and foreign policy chops — front and center ahead of the party’s meeting.

Earnest would not be drawn on whether Obama would back Biden over Clinton, or vice versa, but he said the president could ultimately endorse a candidate.
“I think that should give you some sense of the president’s view of Vice President Biden’s aptitude for the top job”, Earnest said, offering praise – but not an endorsement – for the vice president.
The poll left out Vice President Joe Biden, who has not announced whether he will seek the presidency but has ranked in other survey results.
