Ex-PSG midfielder Cisse: Van Gaal KILLED Di Maria at Man Utd
Paris Saint-Germain ace Angel di Maria has publically slammed Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, saying the Dutchman was the reason he struggled at Old Trafford.
Di Maria said he was pleased with how life began in Manchester but things changed after his hamstring injury, when Van Gaal started using him in a different position.
He told Canal +: “He was a little short of sharpness in Monaco, but that’s normal”.
“He will have a good manager”.
The Argentine endured a tough first season in England and failed to replicate his fine form at former club Real Madrid, resulting in a switch to the reigning Ligue 1 champions. Van Gaal killed him.
“He needs to express himself, he is an artist”. Laurent Blanc is clearly not going to make the same mistake as Di Maria also added “I spoke with [Laurent] Blanc and his thinking was that I’d play in a similar position to where I did at Real Madrid”.
Analysis from Foenix Partners claims that the Premier League club, who sold Di Maria to PSG for £44.3m just a year after buying him for a British record £59.7m, were burned by the weak exchange rate from the Euro compared to pound sterling.
“The objective for PSG is to stay unbeaten all season”. To motivate the players, it’s an interesting challenge. “It is hard to adapt to Van Gaal”.
Angel Di Maria hit the ground running in his debut for PSG as he provided an assist for countryman, Eziquel Lavezzi in a 30 minute cameo off the bench. “Week after week, they would find new desire”.
