Rakhi Sawant wants to be Indrani Mukherjea on screen

Siddhartha Das, the biological father of Sheena and Mikhail Bora, was brought to the city from Kolkata and taken to Khar police station for recording his statement.

Officials were tight-lipped about the progress in the probe amidst reports that Indrani and her former husband Sanjeev Khanna had been making contradictory claims about who killed Sheena three years ago.

The police quizzed Das on whether his separation with Indrani was mutual and whether there were any legal documents confirming the separation, the officers said. Sheena Bora belongs to a Mukerjea family who is the daughter of Indrani, was murdered and burned by her Mother in Maharashtra.

Indrani, wife of former media baron Peter Mukherjea, briefly fainted in the Bandra court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S.M. Chandgade as the public prosecutor argued that her custody and those of the other two be extended.

On Wednesday, former Star India CEO and Indrani’s present husband Peter Mukerjea was brought face to face with his wife and the two other accused.

Indrani was arrested on August 25 on charges of killing Sheena on April 24, 2012 along with her driver Shyam Rai and Khanna.

Police have found the remains suspected to be of Sheena, which have been sent for DNA tests and forensic analysis.

Police sources have also confirmed they will be writing to both the social sites to gather evidence in the Sheena murder case. The jottings reportedly indicate that Sheena had called Indrani a witch who has married an old guy. “Indrani told us that she had decided on the spot in Gogade Khurd Village in Pen Taluka for disposing the body”. This is not the first time that he has been questioned.

According to the veteran film-maker, he had already completed writing a story for his protege Guroudev Bhalla for a film titled “Ab raath guzarnewali hai” in May itself and expressed shock on how similar his story is to the actual incidents of Sheena’s murder saga. This time, police sources, he was asked about the sale of stakes held by the couple in the INX News Pvt Ltd deal with investigators trying to find a motive for the murder.

Indrani is portrayed as a small-town girl, hailing from distant Guwahati in northeastern Assam, and a “social climber” who may have used every charm she possessed.

The police were investigating her mother Indrani they think that she is real culprit of this murder, even Indrani is not ready to accept her role in the murder mystery.

“Once a few things are clear, I will speak to the media, but if anything is revealed earlier, I will see to it that departmental action is taken against those responsible”.

“Mikhail was named by his maternal grandfather after Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev”, said Das.

Police also told the court they want to recover Sanjeev Khanna’s passport.
