The owner of the Jigger Shop, Drew Allwein, told News 8 no one inside was hurt.
The chief called the incident “a great loss for the Gretna area”.
Authorities said the man is in critical condition.
“It was like 5 or 10 feet from me”, said Allwein, who said he had been cleaning the open deck of the shop.
The Jigger Shop and the Gretna Emporium are frequent destinations for visitors to Mount Gretna, in Lebanon County.
The go shopping appeared to be booked to end after Monday, but declared on its web-page that likely it won’t ready to the last day from the time “due to effectively unpredicted circumstances”. “There were any number of people who heard the shots”. Employees of the ice cream parlor were on the back porch preparing to open for the last day of summer business when they witnessed the murder.
The Jigger Shop remained closed today. Cornwall Borough police are investigating.
