Subscribers might resort to restarting their modems to pounce on the increased Internet speed.
Would-be subscribers of Comcast’s Blast offering will get a boost from 105 Mbps to generous and break-neck speed of 150 Mbps.
Comcast’s Northeast curtails to 14 states that encompasses Maine to Virginia and District of Columbia.
In addition to increasing speeds for its Northeast Division customers, Comcast continues to offer the fastest wireless gateway, and most Xfinity Internet customers can enjoy complimentary access to more than 8.5 million Xfinity WiFi hotspots nationwide by selecting “xfinitywifi” from the list of available networks on their laptops or mobile devices and entering their Xfinity ID or email and password.
Comcast said right now that it’s going to enhance Internet acceleration and speed to its readers is free of expense. Comcast, which has not faired well when it comes to customer service ratings, has decided to take the same route, but rather than remote access on computers it is launching a shared screen feature for one of its DVRs.
“These new features – live in-home streaming and X1 DVR with cloud technology – give our customers more flexibility for watching their favourite shows and movies in and out of their home”, said Hank Fore, regional vice president of the California region at Comcast. This service is also released in San Francisco Bay Area and Houston, Texas in October, and it also covered Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington D.C.
“Customers often have questions like, ‘how can I set up a DVR recording?” explained Comcast customer service chief Charlie Herrin in a blog post today.
