Meet the greatest armchair detective of all – Sherlock Holmes is back. Coincidentally (or is it?), Brett was a close family friend of Cumberbatch’s parents.

For Sherlock fans, any news is good news and here’s the latest morsel for them to devour.

“Co-showrunner Steven Moffat recently revealed that the decision to use a Victorian setting was based purely on his desire to see Holmes and Watson in their traditional era”. I mean it’s exciting. I think what children do is enhance your life, they don’t inhibit it. They don’t limit it, they give you inspiration and depths of understanding of the human condition and what it is to be on this planet and what our goal is, that goes well beyond anything a childless actor could hope for.

It’s a very unrevealing image but adds to the excitement all the same. “It’s fun but it’s tiring”.

Little is known about Sherlock’s upcoming holiday special, other than it appears to be set in 1895 with the duo playing period versions of their characters.
