EBay 4.0 now available on Google Play with completely overhauled design
eBay is also launching with a new app for iOS and Android. The interface is broken into three categories – Activity, Shop, and Sell – that allow users to keep track of the auctions, promotions, and even events that interest them.

The app overhaul, which borrows in part from eBay’s website on desktop computers, comes soon after the company in July split from its faster-growing PayPal unit, with the separation putting increased pressure on eBay to ramp up its slow sales growth. The “activity” app will include a summary of a user’s recent actions on the site, including searches, recently viewed products and selling activity. For the sake of comparison, a quick browsing online shows that these items are all priced at $40 or more from other sellers.
