Assassin’s Creed Xbox 360 Games Teased For Xbox One Backwards Compatibility
To that end, Ubisoft is actively canvassing gamers to find out which Ubisoft Xbox 360 titles they would like to see ported over to the Xbox One.
Ubisoft has been one of the early proponents of Xbox 360 backwards compatibility. I have to say, while my PC gaming side hates the idea of getting excited about backwards compatiblity, it certainly makes the Xbox One look a lot more tempting to me.
Xbox 360 backwards compatibility is expected to arrive on the Xbox One this November and will be free for all.
Microsoft also has a feedback page asking people to vote for the game they would like to see come to the Xbox One. The accompanying image includes the classic entries of the series such as the original Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations as well as other popular Ubisoft titles such as Far Cry 3, Rayman Origins and others.
Although, it seems like the hit RPG, South Park: The Stick of Truth will not be part of this program, at least for now. That list will expand in the near future once Microsoft gets permission from more publishers. Users are commenting on the post to let Ubisoft know which game they want, so we should do the same. The most demanded games from fans at this point include Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption, Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Mass Effect 2.
