3 young children found dead in auto next to LA elementary school
Three young boys were found dead Wednesday inside a auto parked near an elementary school in a historic Los Angeles neighborhood, authorities said.
Officers responded to the 300 block of East 32nd Street at about 7:15 a.m. and found the four victims, an official with LAPD’s Media Relations Sections said.
The surviving victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, KTLA-TV reported. The three children appeared to be elementary-school aged, according to Aguilar.
“Many of us are parents”, LAPD detective Meghan Aguilar told the L.A. Times.
Investigators are trying to determine if the children were students at the elementary school. Police said he and the children were suffering from stab wounds.
KNX reports they were all boys between the ages of 8 and 12, and were stabbed to death, according to police. Shortly afterward, police told Eyewitness News that a third victim had also died.
An investigation was underway, and no further details were provided.
