‘A bunch of lies’: Ben Carson blasts CNN during CNN interview
During a Fox News interview Thursday night, Carson added: “The media is ruthless”.
Friends remembered Carson not as a menace but as “quiet, bookish and nerdy”. “Okay. Kudos. Let’s move on.” .
In his book, Carson tells the story of how he found religion as a young boy after feeling so angry that he nearly stabbed a “close friend”.
Carson called the CNN investigation “a bunch of lies”. This is what it is, a bunch of lies, attempting, you know, to say I’m lying about my history. “The person that I tried to stab, you know, I talked to today said would they want to be revealed?”.
I wanted to go to space and I wanted to be baptized; my sister wanted to be like Ben Carson, the miracle-working Adventist surgeon who was the first to successfully separate conjoined twins.
“On opening USA doors to refugees: “No. We already have tens of millions of people here who are suffering economically”.
From that point forward the two fought it out, with Camerota quoting the neurosurgeon, and Carson accusing the host of taking his words out of context. Okay? Let’s let the American people decide.
Camerota thinks Carson is trying to “prosecute” the media-and it seems to be working.
He then divulged a little more information about “Bob”, whom he’s previously said was a friend, in a Thursday night interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. “Unless I have specific permission to use their names, it’s inappropriate for me to do so”. But the Carson depicted in the candidates books isnt the Carson they knew.I dont know nothing about that, Gerald Ware, a high-school classmate CNN interviewed, said of Carsons purported outbursts. Cue the sudden appearance of a family member who corroborates Carson’s story.
CARSON: And, you know, I really don’t want to expose him further. Grabbing the camping knife I carried in my back pocket, I snapped it open and lunged for the boy who had been my friend. “What makes you think you would be able to find them, unless I tell you who they are?” “Do you honest-are you honestly telling me that-because if you are, you might fit in that category”.
‘They told him they could help him get an appointment based on his grades and performance in ROTC.
Camerota: “Dr. Carson, I really don’t know what you’re talking about”.
CARSON: Is that what was done with the current President? Is that what you guys did with him?
CARSON: No, you did not. “No, it was not, give me a break”.
A few may say Presidential candidate Ben Carson’s appeal is being raised in an inner-city and rising above his means to a position of power.
RUSH: So you see, Carson’s out… “You’re just going to keep going back trying to find what he said 12 years ago, this is just garbage”. That was revealed and the president had to talk about that. It hurts the middle class. It doesn’t hurt the rich. When that middle class person comes up to the counter and they have a whole cart full of things, all of which cost 5 cents, 10 cents or 15 cents more, it affects their ability to live comfortably. He has described them in his 1990 autobiography, “Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story”, and on the campaign trail.
CAMEROTA: Okay, but last, does Bob exist? “That’s not the real name, but yes he’s a very real person. Because when I would have flashes of temper, it would only be the people directly involved”.
Camerota objects, saying that it is her job to ask questions and she does it all the time. “I don’t think you can call it a gaffe”, said Chris Arterton, a professor of political management at George Washington University.
Adventist kids tend to go to Adventist schools or be homeschooled; I was the latter. How to best ask the questions. “How is that? Why would that be the case if you were objective?” “I want to know what the methodology is there”. Will you do that? Promise you’re going to do that?
CAMEROTA: Yes, of course. Juxtapose that with Hillary Clinton’s numbers on the same topic, where she sits at negative-26 (35-61) or Donald Trump (minus-18, 38-56).
Steadiness and calm was emphasized by Carson, because the uniform that we wore was not just a uniform but a symbol of the America that we would protect, defend and take a stand for.
