A date bug in iOS 11 might crash your iPhone today
Apple has started to release iOS 11.2 ahead of the schedule to fix a number of bugs, including the much publicized date bug.
It’s the second major Apple software bug this week. The new operating system update doesn’t contain any new and innovative features, but it does come with the highly anticipated autocorrect bug fix. I thought my phone was having a hardware failure, worst iOS bug i’ve ever experienced.
If your device with iOS 11 unexpectedly restarts repeatedly on or after December 2, 2017, learn what to do. Right now, it’s great to see Apple improving any sort of stability. Well, you will be more surprised after updating to iOS 11.2 as it will offer new features to your device.
Apple’s latest iOS 11 has had its own share of hits and miss, more of a miss to be precise. It pushed out iOS 11.2 to devices early Saturday morning ahead of its scheduled release early next week.
If you would prefer to, you can also update your iPhone using iTunes.
On the accessibility front, iOS 11.2 adds support for real-time-text phone calls for the deaf and hard of hearing. Tap “Download and install” next to the iOS 11.2 listing and you’ll be good to go. If you’re unable to update, contact Apple support for help. There isn’t a fee for using Apple Pay Cash with a debit card, but sending money using a credit card has a standard three percent fees on the amount funded. The hallmark feature for United States users is Apple Pay for iMessage, but that service reportedly won’t go live until at least Monday.
The update brings Apple Pay Cash as a new addition to the Apple Pay platform, 7.5-watt wireless charging capability for hard-ware capable devices and fixes a nasty bug that would send devices into a soft reset loop, making them barely usable.
Faced with an onslaught of complaints, Apple responded by issuing a step-by-step guide for affected users to solve the issue. A few other tidbits are also included in this update. This is created to remind users where to go in order to bring up Control Center.
Once updated, return to each app in Notifications and turn all notifications back on.
Or you could also stick with the iOS 11 and don’t further upgrade it to a later 11.0.x version.
