A fan created a dating website for people obsessed with Disney
MouseMingle.com launched on Tuesday (Dec. 1), boasting itself as the only internet dating site that actually gets why you’d name your dogs Pluto, Lady and Pongo and wear matching mouse ears with your PJs and wants to help you find your Queen/King of Hearts.
It’s called Mouse Mingle, and it’s a website where people can connect with one another over a shared love of all things Disney.
The site was created by Dave Tavres, who used to work as an engineer on the Disneyland Railroad. “I’m not the guy who hits on women at the [Disney] parks, and there’s no flag that says, ‘Hey I’m single, ‘” Tavres said.
The niche site offers matches based on your answers to a variety of Disney-related questions, including your favorite song, shopping habits, and fandom level. For $12.55 a month, users can private message and partake in online chats with other users. You’ll need them on the first date.
Browsing the photos, you can see many MouseMinglers are already sharing pictures of themselves, usually posing in one of the various Disney parks. “I found it hard to find women who were as interested in Disney as I am.”.
Go forth, Disney fans, and brush up on those Little Mermaid factoids.
“As usual with my friends, they asked about my dating status and why I wasn’t trying the online dating sites”, he wrote in an email. “The first time I saw Farmers Only I thought it was a “Saturday Night Live” sketch”, he told the mag.
There are countless Disney fans across the world from Walt Disney World to Disneyland, from Orlando to Paris.
