A New, Smaller iPhone Might Be Out Early Next Year
The release date early in the year would be unusual for Apple, who typically unveils its new iPhones in the fall, but still possible given that Cupertino didn’t launch the much-anticipated smaller phone alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The next-generation iPhone is expected to continue this trend.
There will not be an upgrade to the camera, which will be the same 8-megapixel one as in the iPhone 5s, according to Kuo. Kuo estimates a price in the USA between $400 and $500, making it anywhere from $150 to $250 cheaper than the 16GB iPhone 6s.
These include plans to add multi Force Touch, dual camera configurations, and fingerprint recognition technology embedded within the display, AMOLED screen tapering and, of course, ditching the Lightning port for a USB Type-C connector. Whatever the case, Apple could tap into a huge segment if it’s successful with its new 4-inch phone. Apple might just ditch its Lightning port. However, this could pose a problem for owners of devices with Lightning ports and accessories, which were only released in 2012.
Apple has only recently revealed its latest flagship, the iPhone 6s and its companion phone, the iPhone 6s Plus in September, and already it appears to be readying the handsets’ successor.
‘As many have speculated, the addition of 3D Touch may provide Apple with a way to eliminate the home button on the phone and use the additional space to make the screen bigger or make the device smaller, ‘ he said, according to Barrons.
1, Apple release two new adverts for the iPhone 6s entitled “Hey Siri” and “Ridiculously Powerful” on YouTube. Supporting Apple Pay will also strengthen the Apple ecosystem.
Mr. Kuo says that the iPhone 6c will look and feel like the iPhone 5S. This is because Apple requirements account for nearly 10% of the total sales they have each quarter, which amounts to nearly 40% of the yearly sales.
MacRumors, the Apple fan site, which first reported on the Mac Otakara blog post, has also been tracking other rumored changes that might appear with the iPhone 7. What isn’t known is whether or not Apple will also increase the base storage available on the iPhone from 16 gigabytes.
