A Night to Shine for more than 100 kings and queens
Vineyard Christian Church was transformed into a a glamorous ballroom Friday evening during the Night to Shine event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
This event takes place worldwide this weekend.
With his crown shining and his dancing shoes on, Dan was able to break out the moves and hit the floor on a night he won’t forget.
“This night to us, we can just have fun and dance”, Miller said. He said, “It’s nicely done; it’s very professional”. Mr. Ross arrived with family friend Traci Adomiak, who wore a red dress at Mr. Ross’ insistence so they’d match, she said. “And I knew that was the guy I was supposed to be with”.
Night to Shine was held in more than 200 host churches in 48 states and seven countries.
“I just love it big-time”, he said.
“Night to Shine” was created to celebrate and honor people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages 16 and older. “It’s neat what they do”, said Derek Eshener.
Forming new friendships, learning new lessons and grooving to a beat that could make anyone grin.
“This is going to be a spectacular night for all those involved”, said Mike Thirtle, president and CEO of Bethesda. “I’m so impressed. There’s no denying it. This is a prom”. Davis says, “We’ve done many ministry events through the years at True North but when we shared the vision of Night To Shine back in early December, we were overwhelmed by the response of our people and the people that wanted to participate in the event”.
