A tale of two Super Bowl quarterbacks
“I felt bad for a month and a-half, two months”, said wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, the lone bright spot that night in the Meadowlands when Seattle’s sideline-to-sideline supremacy rendered his Super Bowl-record 13 receptions a footnote.
“I don’t know if it is, but because of that possibility, I hope that he can win this game and if he decides to hang it up, go out on top”. He’s had enough, you know what I’m saying? He gets in and has kind of taken advantage of that opportunity and winning and now being in the Super Bowl. “But a lot of people disagree and think you should have fun”. I’m proud of the effort we all put in to prepare for each game as if it were our last.
“Peyton and his impact on the game of football will not be determined and based off this one game”, Eli Manning said.
As for Panthers players, they aren’t the least bit sentimental about Manning.
“When I look at the offensive line, it kind of reminds me of how much they need an intimidator, how much they need a tough guy, a tone-setting guy, a guy that goes down there that punches somebody in the face and kicks them in the scrotum”, Harrison said. “I don’t think this stage will impact him in a negative way”. “Nobody changed me, nobody made me act this certain type of way, and I’m true to my roots”. “It’s really neat to be able to come back home”, Rivera said.
“Once it gets beyond the early stage, like when I caught mine, it’s tough”, he said.
“If he has any questions for whatever reason”, Eli said, “I’m happy to give him my thoughts and my two cents on their scheme, on their players that I observed”. Manning on the other hand has rushed negative six yards. “Peyton he was never on my list”.
Broncos coach Gary Kubiak called the team’s defensive game plan “special”, as the Broncos not only battered Brady, but they held the Patriots to their second-lowest point total of the season – New England scored 10 points against Miami in the regular-season finale. He said last month that he supports Peyton and believes his version of events.
The Panthers linebacker broke his right forearm in Sunday’s 49-15 win over the Cardinals in the NFC championship game.
