AA flight diverted to Wichita due to disruptive passenger
The disruptive passenger is expected to face federal charges, according to Jim Cross, spokesman for the US attorney’s office in Kansas.
The diverted jet remained at Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, Kansas (pictured), for about 40 minutes before continuing on to New York.

The TV station said Baroletti was arrested with a federal count of criminal threat.
“He told them he was going to take the plane down”, one witness told the Federal Bureau of Investigation agent.
Baroletti reportedly threatened to kill another passenger who advised airline staff not to give him alcohol and said he would slap the beard off the man’s face.
The argument began when the suspect started smoking an e-cigarette but was told by attendants on Flight 622 that he wasn’t allowed. When flight attendants declined to serve him alcohol, he became more upset. “I’m just saying it probably just got blown out of proportion, he probably… ran his mouth, and you can’t do that on a plane these days”.

A member of the indie band the Augustines provided a running Twitter commentary of the scary scene inside the passenger cabin.
“Whoa. Emergency landing in (Wichita)”.
A plane was forced to divert following a terrifying mid-air bust up after a man allegedly threatened to kill passengers after being refused beer. He was arrested when the airplane landed in Wichita and he told investigators his threat to bring it down was not serious, the affidavit said.
