Aamir Khan Decides To Leave India
Bollywood actor and director Anupam Kher, who has been extremely vocal in his opposition to artists protesting intolerance, was quick to attack Khan’s statement in a series of tweets. He recently made some comments on the Indian Law and the problems in India which might lay a path for problems to him. “She feels scared to open the newspapers every day”, he said.
The petition said, “We truly appreciate his (Aamir) and his family’s concern and would like to urge him to make the move as soon as possible. I can’t deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents”, Mr Khan said while speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards.
Earlier this month fellow superstar Shah Rukh Khan also spoke out against what he called “extreme intolerance” in India. “If you look at the overall context of what he was saying, it was in no way hostile to the government, it was simply hostile to the kind of climate that we have seen rising in this country”, he said.
Bhaiyyaji posted, “Dear Amir Khan, Guess India is the only country where you can make fun of god, culture and belief in a movie & live safely”. My wife has even suggested leaving India, fearing for her child.
“There is an increased sense of despondency over the past 6-8 months”.
Aamir Khan has been quite vocal about the growing intolerance in the country and he has made some comments of late. “It’s good that people like him (Aamir Khan) leave the country, as the same will help in reducing of their population”, Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday. This is certainly a way to protest for creative people. “It’s just a terrorist who doesn’t have a religion”, he added. The common sentiment within the dissent is a belief that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who leads the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has fostered a climate of discrimination against India’s religious minorities. I do not think these comments will affect the bottomline of a company like Snapdeal, but the comments are not consistant with brand Aamir Khan. “Can something like this happen in the neighbouring country?”
Responding to his claims, the BJP said that it is an individual’s choice to leave the country.
