Ab Fab: Patsy and Edina talk Brexit

Tonight’s premiere, held in London’s Leicester Square, is a star-studded affair.

Asked by Sky News whether she could have envisaged such an occasion when the sitcom first hit TV screens, she said: “Not in my wildest dreams”.

Actress Julia Sawalha, who plays Eddie’s daughter in the movie, opted for a very glam cream glitzy dress with a plunging neckline.

“There are always doubts and I think that’s healthy”.

She said: “Mandie Fletcher, our director, is trying to lock down the casting of cameo roles between takes and sometimes I have to sit with her in a nice chair, eating a delicious Brie baguette, and throwing out names like “Benedict Cumberbatch”. They say, “This is your car” and you go, ‘Oh but I thought I was going to be a Maserati, ‘ and they say, ‘Keep it clean, keep the tyres pumped up, keep the boot empty if possible, ad keep it looking spit-spot.

Kate stepped out on the red carpet with Ab Fab stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley at the premiere, posing with her arms around her co-stars.
