ABC announces its new ‘Bachelor’
After being kicked by Kaitlyn Bristowe in “The Bachelorette” episode 8 season 11, Ben Higgins is coming back strong as he was now named the official next “Bachelor” in “After Paradise“. “I can’t tell you the amount of direct messages I get on Instagram a day and none of them are for me. Everything leading up to this has just been incredible”. The season, which began with the 25 men voting for either Bristowe or Britt Nilsson as the Bachelorette, earned buzz over Bristowe admitting on camera that she had slept with Viall prior to the fantasy-suite dates.
On the other hand, Higgins is also keeping his options open and does not plan to rule out anyone- unless she’s a mean girl.
“I think it’s Ben H.”, she said. And he truly believes he will find his soul mate on The Bachelor.
“I think opportunities like this don’t happen to people like me”, Higgins said. “I had no idea those things existed”, he said of his luxurious trip to New York City.
There, the handsome software salesman confirmed he will carry the franchise torch next, one of the worst-kept Bachelor spoilers in modern times.
“Ideally, at the end of this, I will be proposing”, he told People. “She got away from all the cameras and microphones, and we’re both ecstatic to see her. I think just because Shawn was in the king bed, she hopped in bed with him and was sitting on the bed”.
Ben, who talked about being the next bachelor on Good Morning America, revealed that he is a huge fan of comedian Amy Schumer. Obviously, we had to approach Nick and he immediately saw the humor behind it and said, ‘I’m all in.’ Major kudos for Nick being such a good sport.
The Trainwreck writer and star asked for a little help from the new Bachelor.
During the announcement, Schumer called Ben to congratulate him on the huge opportunity. He wants nothing more than to find the kind of love that his parents have.
The 20th season of “The Bachelor” will premiere January 2016.
