Abdul Rahman Baba joins Chelsea

While Rahman Baba said on the deal: “I thank all those responsible, coaches and fans of FC Augsburg for their support previous year”.

But it now appears as though Mourinho has finally got his wish, with SportBild journalist Christian Falk confirming on Twitter that Rahman had successfully completed his medical at Stamford Bridge.

Baba Rahman’s move to Chelsea is on the verge of being completed after Augsburg’s sporting executive said he had passed a medical in London.

The 21-year-old Ghana global cost Augsburg just €2.5 million when he joined from Greuther Fuerth in 2014 after signing a five-year contract.

Azpilicueta isn’t a great offensive star, but his positioning and ability to win the ball back have added steel to Chelsea’s defence over the last two seasons.

Atletico Madrid have agreed to a €16 million deal with Chelsea for the return of Filipe Luis, according to AS (h/t Football Espana). This will be good news for Jose Mourinho, who has only been able to bring in Asmir Begovic and Radamel Falcao so far this summer.

Furth are set to also profit from the transfer, with Augsburger Allgemeine reporting that they will receive around 25 percent of the transfer fee.
