As seen from Lake Havasu City.
“This is a major one and we’re aggressively trying to fight it”, Garcia said of the fast-moving fire.
Several firefighters from federal government agencies, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Fish & Wildlife Service, multiple local fire departments and the Arizona State Forestry Division are involved in fighting the fire, Garcia said. The shelter is located at Mohave Valley Elementary School, 1419 E. Willow Dr., Mohave Valley, AZ, 86440.
Those in the evacuated area with livestock are able to take their animals to the Needles Rodeo Grounds at 817 3rd Street in Needles, CA.
Anyone coming to the shelter is asked to bring their medications and medical equipment (walkers, breathing machines, etc.), clothing for 3 days, and important papers such as insurance cards.
