About Last Night | About Perfect For Durant

There’s a chance that Steve Kerr will make his return to the series for Game 2 on Sunday night, but we likely won’t know till closer to Sunday. After all, the last two years they didn’t have to worry about Durant when they faced the Golden State Warriors in the Finals, with the eight-time All-Star nothing more than a spectator after his Oklahoma City teams were eliminated. The Cavaliers never seriously threatened again.
National Basketball Association fans have long wondered if Klay Thompson will eventually be the odd man out now that the Golden State Warriors have added Kevin Durant to the fold, and one of Thompson’s fellow players believes that is bound to happen.
With his big output in Game 1, Durant joined Hall of Famers Rick Barry, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal as the only players to score at least 25 points in each of his first six Finals games. “So we’ll see. It worked pretty well in Game 4 of last series”.
Rihanna continued stealing the show – before and after the game – as cameras captured her bowing down to LeBron James and dabbing. LeBron made nine of 20 shots, scored 28 points, had 15 rebounds and eight assists. LeBron had a nice game despite the turnovers but he needs more help, especially from Love who shot just four of 13 from the field and Tristan Thompson who finished scoreless while grabbing just four rebounds.
One could say the Warriors’ otherworldly level of play in the postseason should be something for us to marvel at.
Thompson, who has, for him, struggled throughout the playoffs, expects the Cavs to to try to protect the rim in Game 2 (Golden State scored 56 points in the paint). “Uncharacteristic with the number of guys that turned the ball over, but we have to credit those guys for creating some of the turnovers”. Durant didn’t really acknowledge that anything was going on, but Steph Curry had a phenomenal reaction.
“I’m sure they feel like they could play better but we feel like we can shoot better”, Brown said.
