AC Syndicate gets Jack the Ripper DLC today
Benjamin Dumaz, the lead mission designer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Jack the Ripper, shared through his PlayStation blog that this DLC pack will have a completely new gameplay system.
Creative Director Ubisoft Quebec Marc-Alexas Cote presents Assassin’s Creed Syndicate at the Ubisoft E3 Conference on June 15, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. Ubisoft said last week that buyers of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate for PC can expect that version of the downloadable content to launch on December 22nd.
Ubisoft also release a new interactive trailer alongside the DLC that acts as a fully immersive VR trailer.
Jack the Ripper DLC is available for $14.99. There’s more included besides this new DLC. The Season Pass also gives players a permanent XP boost. Adding an infamous serial killer like Jack the Ripper into the mix definitely adds an interesting set of missions and story to undertake in the game. The collection could be simply the three Ezio-centric games, or it could even include the other numbered titles like Assassin’s Creed III and IV. It shows the elusive murderer taking on Jacob Frye in a brawl, before setting his sights onto Evie who the DLC will focus on. The description does confirm what many already suspected, that Jacob Frye wouldn’t be featured in the downloadable content.
It wouldn’t be all that surprising then to learn that Ubisoft has registered the domain for Assassin’s Creed Collection, though the official details regarding what this is for remains to be seen. The third possibility is that this is an alternate URL for their upcoming Assassin’s Creed Chronicles collection, which puts the three Chronicles side-scrolling games on one disc.
