Acclaimed Gone Home Coming To PS4, Xbox One After All

After teasing about a console release a while ago, developer Full Bright Company have re-kindled their relationship with Midnight City and announced that Gone Home will officially be coming to Xbox One. In the game, players take control of Kaitlin, and are tasked with uncovering bits of the story by interacting with objects in her house.
Now, however, developer The Fullbright Company has announced that both versions will launch on January 12, 2016. The game has moved from the Unity 4 engine to Unity 5, so console owners should get the same experience as PC players. It will also include 90 minutes of director’s commentary.
It will be interesting to see how the critically acclaimed PC hit does on consoles, where pacifistic games are less commonplace.
It had previously been scheduled for a console release in early 2015, but that publishing deal fell through.
