Activision launches ‘Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack’ on Steam
Called a multiplayer starter pack, this version of the game does away with the campaigns and extras, dropping the price to $15. The kit is available on Steam starting today, but will only be available until February 29th. The pack includes access to public, ranked matches, as well as to the Weapon Paint Shop, Gunsmith, Arena, Freerun, Theater, and Black Market.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience the immensely popular multiplayer element of the recent Call of Duty games but have no interest in the single-player section, Activision has a deal that you may find interesting. Activision have now released a multiplayer-only “Starter Pack” that lets players focus on cooperative play, cutting out much of what makes up the full game. On the otherhand, in addition to the campaign’s absence you won’t gain access to any of the Zombies modes, and you won’t be able to play in custom games or Prestige your character. That’s only fair, and the MP Starter Pack serves as a paid demo in effect. This particular starter pack will show people how to jump right into the action of the game and show off the best parts of the title. Upgrading to this option will cost the user a total of $60, which is the actual price of the full game itself. If you do that, the price of your Starter Pack will be deducted from the games total, so you wont be paying twice for the same content. Interested?
For those who are wondering, players can still get the Season Pass, but the content will be limited to the multiplayer goodies of the DLC. In other words, this $14.99 Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 can be considered as a demo of sorts.
