Activision promises to address Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 issues
Initial trailers showed a game with subpar graphics and highlighted a new “slam” gameplay technique that many labeled as awkward and unnecessary. Soon after the title was out many gamers started complaining countless bugs and issues that they experienced with the title. Particularly with Tony Hawk HD and the recently released Tony Hawk 5, there have been a bunch of bugs that have been causing issues for players, from offline to online problems.
Robomodo previously worked on Tony Hawk: Ride, Tony Hawk: Shred and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD. The publisher has stated that the upcoming DLC will add two additional stages and five new skaters to the game, but Activision has not yet revealed the expected release date of the DLC.
Meanwhile, the day one update for Pro Skater 5 is larger than the download file for the game, Gameplanet reports. Although it didn’t promise a good game, Activision‘s end product did not even reach the minimum expectations of the game. Sources say that the game is unplayable without downloading the patch.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was released this week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the response to the latest entry in the iconic skateboarding series was probably not what Activision would have wanted.
Polygon has speculated that the game was perhaps rushed to market prior to the expiration of Activision’s licensing agreement with Tony Hawk.
