Ada Band packs punch in competition
The festival featured four different competitions and there were 11 bands in the 3A division. “It will feature hundreds of performers from 20 of the best high school marching bands from New Jersey and Pennsylvania”.
The evening field event follows at 6pm at Porter Stadium at Hannibal High School.
The Marching Tigers will perform their field show, “DareDevil” under the direction of Michael S. Massimo.
The California Drumline took third place with a score of 160. Bandarama tickets are available at the door: $10 adults; $5 students/ seniors.
Walking tacos, chili cheese fries, hot dogs, candy, soda, hot chocolate and bottled water will be available at the Band Boosters concession stand beginning at 4:30pm. Children 3 and under are free.
The Bedford High School Marching Band will travel to Dover High School in Dover to compete in The 46th Annual Dover Band Show at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 (The rain date is October 18). The National Association selected these students from more than 1,300 students across 47 states for Music Education, All American Games and Drum Corps global.
The participating high school bands are Orange Glen, Rosemead, Laguna Hills, Don Lugo, Torrance, Chaparral, Fallbrook, Hamilton, Chaffey, La Canada, Indio, Rancho Cucamonga, San Marcos, Great Oak, Mission Viejo, El Toro, South Pasadena, Ayala and Vista Murrieta.
Three marching band invitationals of this kind have already taken place in the Downriver area this fall – at Trenton, Gibraltar’s Carlson High School, and Woodhaven.
