Adam Driver’s Resemblance to Cat Goes Viral

Chewbacca might not be the only furry cast member of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The rescue cat, who shares the Star Wars: Force Awakens actor’s searching green eyes, large ears and sullen resting face, was advertised through the Instagram account for Monmouth County SPCA, an animal rescue centre in New Jersey, on Friday.

Workers at Monmouth County SPCA posted details of Corey online when his image went viral. Per Monmouth County’s website, Corey is a two and a half year old Oriental Shorthair with “soft fur”.

Corey’s picture has found its way around social media in recent days after the SPCA posted it on January 15 announcing that he was able to be adopted.

McCombs writes that she changed the cat’s name to the more appropriate Kylo Ren and he’s already adjusting well to his new home.

LucasFilm and Driver’s representatives have yet to comment if Corey has been adopted by either Kylo Ren or Driver, respectively. Hopefully his new parents won’t suffer the same fate as Kylo Ren’s dad.
