Adam Lallana hails “world class” Daniel Sturridge after Liverpool brace
A Divock Origi hat-trick, Daniel Sturridge brace and Jordon Ibe goal saw Liverpool to a 6-1 win at St Mary’s on Wednesday.
“He showed exactly what he’s about and why we want him back and in the team”, the attacking midfielder told the club’s official website, obviously impressed with his compatriots eye for goal.
Divock Origi scored a hat-trick and Daniel Sturridge marked his return from injuries with two stunning goals after Sadio Mane had put Southampton ahead in the first minute.
“I said to Sturridge after the game “now I know what everybody is talking about so thank you”, Klopp stated.
