Adams starts for Oregon, Wilson for Utah

According to the Salt Lake Tribune’s Matthew Piper, Adams was announced as Oregon’s starting quarterback at Autzen Stadium prior to kickoff.

Vernon Adams Jr.is reportedly back in at quarterback for Oregon.

Adams broke the index finger on his throwing hand in Week 1 against Eastern Washington and reinjured it in a Week 2 loss to Michigan State. Last week in his first career start, Lockie completed 23 of 31 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns in Oregon’s win over Georgia State. They’ll now try to capture the tougher win against Oregon on the road, but will need a solid fourth quarter to do so.

Wilson sprained his left shoulder during the No. 18 Utes’ second game of the season against Utah State and did not play in the 45-24 victory at Fresno State last weekend.

For tonight’s matchup, the spread is at 10-1/2 points in favor of the Oregon Ducks, who are also -365 on the moneyline.

If Utah can throw the football effectively at all, they could hang around in this one.

For now, though, they’ll be going with all green everything against Utah. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX.
