Adele brings impersonator on stage in Washington

Adele has a soft spot for the legions of fans who imitate her.

The “Hello” star noticed her doppelgänger in the crowd and brought the impersonator – aka Kristie Champagne (née Kristopher Zello) – up to chat.

It’s no secret that Adele is a big fan of drag queens, so during her recent concert in Seattle she made one lucky queen’s dream come true.

“You look so awesome, oh my god!” were the first words out of Adele’s mouth when Kristie walked up onto the stage.

In some of the shots shared to Instagram, it’s actually a little hard to figure out which one is the real Adele.

When Adele performed at Seattle’s KeyArena earlier in the week, she spotted a familiar face in the audience: her own.

The prank turned out to be quite emotional for Adele, who previously told US breakfast show Today she’s since made it her mission to track down all of her professional imitators.

‘Nothing quite prepared me for walking towards, like, 10 other girls dressed up as me, that was pretty overwhelming, ‘ she told Graham Norton. But now that I’ve done that it’s, like, opened a whole new world for me; I wanna find all of them’.
