Adele celebrates Leap Year by getting fan to propose on stage!
Adele won rave reviews as she kicked off her tour in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Monday night (29Feb16), after admitting she was so nervous prior to taking to the stage.
Adele’s third album 25 sold 737,000 copies in the United Kingdom in just six days, breaking the record formerly held by Oasis.
Speaking to the audience, she shared: “This is my first time in an arena ever”.
According to BBC News, the Rolling In The Deep singer confessed she’d been having “severe bowel movements” all day ahead of the gig.
“She is the number one star in the world at the moment, she’s got the voice and the songs to back it all up so I think it is going to be a pretty spectacular show”.
She also revealed: ‘I woke up sounding like Arnold Schwarzenegger!’
ADELE invited a female fan on stage last night for a special leap day proposal to her boyfriend.
“Then Gatwick [Airport] closed and I thought my boyfriend wasn’t going to get here on time”.
When the concerts were announced, Peter Aiken told UTV: “I think it is going to be quite spectacular, and I think it is going to be a very exciting show”.
She added: “I have to say I really like Belfast, I’ve never been before”.
Unsurprisingly the Belfast crowd wanted more and huge cheers continued in the SSE Arena for nearly five minutes before she made her return.
