Adele doesn’t want to be the face of your cosmetics line
Adele only wants to be known for her music, not any kind of endorsement.
“Everyone thinks I just disappeared, and I didn’t”, she continued.
The “Hello” singer only feels confident with her new material when it has “really moved” her and leaves her needing a moment alone to compose herself.
With a more than three-year hiatus, the artist has been extremely private working on her latest album. Even though the group was selected as the top overall act, they only ranked 54th for the best all time album with their “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album from 1967.
However, Adele has something which other artists would beg all the live long day for; universal appeal.
Her coming third studio album, 25, is set for launch on November 20.
At this rehearsal, with a journalist in the room, Adele was a musician above all. She is also performing at her upcoming “Adele Live in NY City” concert special, which will take place on Monday, December 14 and air on NBC. The 27-year-old songstress admitted that when the tears start rolling, that’s when she knows she has a hit.
Adele had largely maintained public silence while recording “25”. Apparently Apple had (unsurprisingly) tried to get Adele to sign an exclusive with their platform, but were apparently rebuffed by the singer and her team.
However, Adele is most certainly part of the new revolution. But she does have a Twitter account, and she couldn’t resist looking online to see if her voice had been recognised. “He’s the love of my life and the light of my life, but he’s no one else’s apart from me and his dad”, she explained.
But then, she recalled, her boyfriend, Mr Simon Konecki, joined her at the computer and showed her that thousands of other tweets were pouring in. Predictions for first-week sales of 25 range between 1.3 million albums all the way up to a staggering 2 million albums according to label sources, numbers that haven’t been touched since 2001 when Britney Spears racked up 1.3 million albums sold in her first week with Oops!…
