Adele feared music return
It is still to be seen if her new song “25”, which released in Nov 25 will have the same amount of tearjerkers but she said that making “21” was nearly as intense as the final product itself.
It’s part of what makes Adele’s music so captivating and timeless, and guess what? “But I’m not willing to feel like that to write a song again”.
With only days to go until her highly anticipated album “25” is released, the singer sits down with The NY Times to open up about life, music, and her new “paradise”.
It is worth noting that at the moment, no details about Adele’s release strategy are known, so as far as streaming goes nothing is concrete right now. Since it’s been four years since 21 came out, she had reason to worry about her comeback.
Earlier this year, Taylor Swift made a decision to keep her album “1989” off of Spotify, while in 2013, Beyonce chose to keep her album exclusive to iTunes, according to The Verge. After cancelling her “21” US tour from vocal illness, she is giving herself until Christmas to decide for “25”.
She recalled to the NY Times newspaper: “I just used to let myself drown. Really, it’s harder work resisting it. But after a while I just refused to accept a life that was not real”.
In fact, the 27-year-old explained that’s how she knows the track is a good one!
Opening up to Observer Music, Adele talked about how much her life has changed since she became famous. I want to make something.
At the time of publication, Spotify has rejected this idea, which could lead to the new Adele album never making it to the streaming service.
“In order for me to feel confident with one of my songs it has to really move me”, Adele said.
“That’s how I know that I’ve written a good song for myself – it’s when I start crying”, she revealed.
The chart-topping singer releases her third album 25 later this month, but reports suggest that her team are pushing the streaming service to limit access to paying subscribers only (around 20 million of 75 million users, the rest of whom have to listen to ads).
