Adele hit with four million pound tax bill
FIGURES released on Friday show fans bought up one million copies of the British singer’s third album in just 10 days, beating previous record holder Oasis’ Be Here Now, which took 17 days to hit the milestone in 1997, the Official Charts Company said.
The album’s lead single, Hello, continues to reign at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, while four more 25 tracks joined the ranks this week (the highest being When We Were Young, which enters the chart at No. 22, according to Billboard).
Adele is proving once more in that there isn’t a complete to her record-breaking skills.
Prior to this, the music industry has already predicted the storm of records that is to come with Adele’s comeback album.
And Adele has admitted she still has five “really great” songs leftover from when she was writing the album. It makes more history by becoming the first album to sell a million copies in two different weeks since Nielsen began tracking sales data in 1991. With the help of prosthetics, she joined her impersonators who had no clue that they were with the real Adele.
Aside from this, Adele was also seen going out with fellow stars Emma Stone of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and Jennifer Lawrence of “The Hunger Games” movies in NY.
