Adele & Lionel Richie’s ‘Hello’ Mashup Is wonderful

Like Richie, we couldn’t be happier to now have two “Hello” songs about loneliness to cry and binge eat ice cream to.

Acknowledging the similar titles and nearly parallel lyrics, the 66-year-old Richie posted a hilarious mash-up video of his song “Hello” with the Grammy winner’s new single.

It splices a clip of Adele picking up a cell phone only to have Richie start in with “Hello…”

On Thursday night, the English singer dropped the music video for “Hello”, her first new song in three years.

Adele appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show Friday where she joked that she and Richie should engage in a “Hello-Off”. She said last week: “We’ve definitely got to do something, me and Lionel”. “If I put an iPhone or a modern vehicle in a movie it feels like I’m making a commercial”.
